Art to me is like a bag of potato chips, I can't just sample one medium. I started of drawing and oil painting and sign most of that work with the last name of Burnevik, in respect and remembrance of my father who first gave me lessons. When I branched out into crafts I began to sign with my married name Ruic because I received so much help and support from my late husband. I have come to the conclusion that a artist could devote his or her life to any one of the many medium I have explored. I will post examples, a little at a time, of all the different crafts I have tried over the years.
ALIEN VIEW.
My late husband was a very logical man, a Mr. Spock if you may, and often had trouble understanding the actions of people and Governments in general. One day he commented "I feel as if I'am a Alien who has just landed on this planet and is trying to figure out a totally different culture." That is when I started looking at the world from the point of The Captain and his first officer OOPS and the Alien View was born. Because the audience on DevianArt is international I am posting the toon's that are not specific to the US culture. Hope you enjoy them.
